HTC DROID DNA Smartphone launches on Verizon today, $199 on contract

The HTC DROID DNA, the manufacturer's first US smartphone with a 1080p screen, has become available through Verizon Wireless online and retail stores today, just as promised.

The device will set you back $199 on a two-year contract or you could opt to get it commitment-free for $599. It's available starting today from both Verzion's website and its brick and mortar stores at the same price so it's up to you to decide how to get it.

Nexus 7 Comes to India

Google's Nexus 7 tablet has finally arrived in India. With an official announcement by its co-manufacturer Asus, the long wait of the Indians has come to an end; but not without a bit of sadness.

Idea's ‘Emergency Internet Usage Service’ allows Internet usage even with Zero balance

Idea Cellular has today announced the launch of a new service called the ‘Emergency Internet Usage Service’ for its users in Rajasthan telecom circle.

 

The new service, as the name suggests will offer Idea users a credit offer to allow uninterrupted internet browsing experience of up to 50 MB when their mobile account balance is exhausted.

As per the new offer, Idea Prepaid subscribers who have a balance of less than Rs. 2 in their account can now avail upto 50 MB Free Internet usage for 2 days, just by calling 53566, or by dialling *666#, anytime, anywhere from their mobile phones. The service is available on all internet usage on Idea 2G in Rajasthan.

Research In Motion Got a Boost

 Research In Motion Ltd, for months enveloped by a wave of negative sentiment, got a boost on Tuesday when one of its most influential critics raised his rating on the stock ahead of the launch of RIM's make-or-break new line of BlackBerry 10 devices. 

The upgrade by Jefferies & Co analyst Peter Misek pushed RIM's share price into double digits for the first time in five months, with the stock up more than 3 per cent at $10.04 in early trading on the Nasdaq.
