T-Mobile releases Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S III


T-Mobile is the second US carrier to unleash Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to its Galaxy S III customers. Last month Sprint started seeding the Jelly Bean update to the Galaxy S III units on its network.


The update is available OTA or from Samsung's Kies software. Users who are rooted and don't want to wait can download the update from here and then manually flash it on their devices.

Blackberry Messenger 7 introduces free voice calls over WiFI

RIM today announced that they plan to bring voice capabilities to its popular BlackBerry Messenger service. The service will also bring additional features like integration with customer’s BlackBerry ID. Customers can initiate a BBM Voice Call directly or switch over to one from a BBM text chat.

Nimbuzz for Windows Phone updated with push notifications


Nimbuzz for Windows Phone has been updated to version 1.1.1 that brings push notifications finally. The updated app also brings auto save option for incoming images, faster startup time that offers better user experience and more. Nimbuzz for Windows Phone was launched back in July and lets you chat with friends on Facebook, GTalk, Yahoo Messenger and MSN/Live Messenger. You can also share images and connect to Twitter using the app.

Android 4.2 update rolling out on Galaxy Nexus Yakju builds and Nexus 7


We had already heard about the Galaxy Nexus Android 4.2 update roll out for Takju build Galaxy Nexus and now it is time for the international Galaxy Nexus with Yakju build to get this update. With the Galaxy Nexus as scheduled even the Necxus 7 is getting updated to Android 4.2.
Device owners form U.K, Canada and Australia have all been reporting seeing the OTA update on their devices. Google also made the factory image for Takju build available on their official website yesterday. But we have come to know that the update is rolling out slow and not many people have received the update yet. HTC Droid DNA goes official with 5-inch 1080p screen, 1.5 GHz quad-core Krait


Remember the 5-inch phablet from HTC which went on to leak quite a many times and was rumoured to arrive with a 1080p display?

Well, HTC has made the smartphone official and launched it has the HTC Droid DNA in the USA on Verizon’s network.
 
The HTC Droid DNA arrives with similar looks and specs as that of the HTC J Butterfly which was announced for Japan last month. The Droid DNA arrives with a 5-inch Super LCD 3 full-HD 1080p display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels which gives a pixel whopping density of 441 PPI.
 
The smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor coupled with a 2 GB RAM.
