Apple has started to innovate even in the television market as is planning to invade the living room of people by the end of 2012 with one of its most phenomenal innovations the APPLE TV. Please don’t confuse it with the current Apple TV, which is just a palm size gadget allowing users to stream contents to their television sets. It is a real Television with much aided facilities.


Apple TV will be available with iOS and is not limited to just watching movies and cable TV but also you can play games, run different applications and share what you watch or play in the Apple television. It will run applications like FaceTime, Skype etc. and will also work with other iDevices.

Sanyo and NTT DoCoMo has recently made an announcement about the launch of their latest GPS Navigator called Gorilla Plus. This latest device comes along with 5 inches of backlit touchscreen display that offers bright and clear images. The Gorilla Plus device will come loaded with 8 GB of internal memory.

The users will be able to get real time traffic information with the help of this navigator and moreover the user will also have access to the parking spot information, latest map updates and other useful information like weather at destination.

The Gorilla Plus also comes packed with quick start feature of Sanyo, and has a maximum GPS fix time of 10 seconds. This latest device will also be capable of uploading the Point of Interest and various other information from the computers through a SD card. iBall Announces a Tablet for the Masses – The iBall Slide

In the past couple of years, every major and minor player in the industry has come up with their own tablet computer. It was only a matter of time before Indian companies jumped onto the bandwagon too. After Reliance and Beetel recently announced their versions of budget tablets, yet another Indian company, iBall, has come up with the goods. Presenting the iBall Slide – the tablet of the masses.


Running on a 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, the iBall Slide is a 7-inch slate offering a WVGA resolution. The device comes with 8 GB of built in storage, which is expandable up to 32 GB. Although there is no official word on the amount of RAM, 512 MB seems like the best guess, looking at all the other specs of the tablet.

Samsung’s Wave devices to hit the 10 million mark soon


Yesterday we saw the Galaxy S II making records, and now its Samsung’s Wave series that is making news. The Wave range of handsets were launched back back in May 2011 with the Wave S8500 and now these handsets are going to hit the 10 million milestone before the end of this year. Running on Samsung’s own Bada OS, these devices have caught up with consumers as they are a unique experience to use. These handsets also feature the Samsung’s TouchWiz User Interface which is now catching up with Android users.

Recently Samsung had introduced the Wave M, Wave Y and the Wave 3 into this series and these handsets will help Samsung cross this milestone in next few months though an official date of launch for these handsets is not yet available but they are to be available for consumers anytime in this quarter.

Toshiba announces the 7 inch Thrive Tablet


A new Thrive tablet has been announced by Toshiba. This time it’s a 7-incher model called the Thrive 7 which is scheduled to launch in December. The 7 inch display on the tablet has a 1280x800 resolution, a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera, 16GB and 32GB memory options, Android 3.2, NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual processor. It’s a lightweight tablet with various ports like miniUSB, microHDMI and a microSD card slot.

Pricing of the device has not yet been disclosed.

Opera updates for Symbian, Anna and Belle users rejoice



The Opera browser for Symbian has been updated and brings in split screen keyboard for Symbian Anna and brings in compatibility for Symbian Belle. The Opera Mobile blog has confirmed the news and even we have tested the app on Belle, and it seems to be running smoothly. We did have compatibility with Belle earlier but finally this update has fixed the crashing of the app has been resolved.

HTC EVO 3D comes to Europe in July

More than a year and we are still awaiting the launch of Sakshat Tablet PC/laptop from the Indian government. Infact to look at, many providers most private have jumped in and announced their tablet versions which might not be costing $ 100 but something in the near range when compared with premium tablets like Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab and Motorola Xoom.

It boards an 800 MHz processor, good enough to support speed operation.
Apart from that one would expect a camera and it has 2 mega pixel camera on the rear side and a VGA camera on the front for video calls. Through Lithium ion 3400 mAh battery it can last for a day operation and it’s quite good when it comes to tablets backup.

One would be happy to see BMP, PNG and JPEG image format too supported by this tablet. Samsung Galaxy Note, a new 5.3 inch device by Samsung


Samsung has introduced and announced yet again a new device that is somewhat in between a tablet and a Smartphone. The Galaxy Note is the newest addition to the Galaxy family and it is a 5.3 inch device capable of calling features and is said to be a hybrid device just like the Dell Streak 5.

The Galaxy Note has a 5.3 inch WXGA screen with a 1280x800 resolution. It has the same Exynos chipset as the Tab 7.7 which is dual-core 1.4GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, Mali-400MP GPU, an 8MP with 1080p video recording, and it comes with a stylus, the S Pen which works with dedicated apps.
